Did you feel the angry voices as they beat you to your death?  Did you feel the six-inch nails as they drove into your bones?  Or the breaking of your joints as you struggled for your breath?   
And did that kingly sign overhead make you smile,  Or was it merely your name being defiled?

A Permitted CrimeFace each other 10 yards away.  10 yards for 10 years of a life filled with man’s worst.   
To exhale not only a breath of exhaustion, but all 21 grams in a scream nonexistent ears.  To close my sorrow-filled eyes to this scene to make one sick from the smell of decaying lives.  Look again to see if this nightmare of a life has vanished, but the emaciated child is still at my feet begging for a pathetic coin.  No amount of money will ever retrieve these sunken cheeks from death’s beautiful waltz.   
So instead, remove all form of sense.  To no longer see this needy soul or hear the “planned” scuffl A Permitted Crime

strange question...

did you ever think about how strange it would be if god created the world for the first time a long time ago and kept having it created and destroyed, etc. and just different people living on it. just like a big cycle. does that make sense? i'm reading this book and one of the characters thinks that. i had never even thought about it. just an interesting idea.
